NestUp Privacy Policy

NestUp helps parents, caregivers, and families discover family activities, local places, and events, and connect with other families. This page explains what we collect, why, and the controls you have.

Account & profile data

• Account details: your name, email address, and phone number, used to create and secure your account.
• Password: never stored in plain text — handled by our authentication provider (Supabase Auth), or by Sign in with Apple when you use that option.
• Profile photo: optional, shown to other members.
• Family/parent profile: your parenting role, neighborhood, and optional bio — shown to other members as part of your public profile.

Children & family information

If you add children to your profile, we store their first name and birthdate to show age-appropriate activities and to display an age range (never an exact birthdate) to other members. A child's full name and birthdate are never shown to anyone else.

Location

We use your approximate location (with your permission) to show nearby activities, places, and events on the Discovery map. We never show your precise home address to other members — activities take place at locations a host or the activity creator has chosen, not your address.

User-generated content

Activities and events you create, RSVPs ("I'm going") and attendance you record, and messages you send in activity group chats, direct messages, or community forums are stored so they persist across your devices and are visible to the other participants in that conversation or activity. Other members can see your display name, photo, and the activities you host or attend.

Provider & municipal content

NestUp displays public event and place information sourced from municipal and third-party providers (for example, city libraries, cultural venues, and public event listings). This content describes public places and public events — it is not personal data about you, and browsing it does not share your personal information with those providers.

Notifications

If you opt in, we use a device push token to deliver notifications you've requested — activity reminders, new chat messages, and activity updates. You can turn these off at any time in Profile settings.

Analytics

We collect basic, privacy-safe usage events (for example, that a screen was opened or an activity was joined) to understand and improve the product. We do not collect message content as part of this, and analytics events are not used to build an advertising profile.

What we don't do

We do not sell your data. We do not show your phone number or exact location to other members. We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not use third-party advertising trackers.

Your controls

• Edit your profile and your children's information at any time.
• Control which notifications you receive.
• Block another member or report an activity, message, or member.
• Request a copy of your data, or permanently delete your account and associated data, from Profile settings in the app, or by emailing us (below) — deletion removes your profile, children's records, and messages within a short period.
